Zapier is a simple solution for complex tasks. In just several steps, you can integrate almost any service you use daily into NetHunt CRM. The best part is that even if you know next to nothing about API or programming, you can still achieve the desired results!

NetHunt as a Trigger

In Zapier, you may use most apps as Triggers or Actions.

First, we'll take a look at how to use NetHunt CRM as a Trigger app. This means that NetHunt will be the first app in your Zap and other apps will react once they notice some changes in NetHunt CRM data.

1. Log in to your existing Zapier account or create a new one.

2. Follow this link to see all available Zaps or create your own. Choose the app you want to integrate NetHunt with:

3. Choose NetHunt CRM as a Trigger and click "Connect these apps":

4. Set up a Trigger for your Zap:

5. Connect your NetHunt CRM account to Zapier:

  • Enter your Gmail address where you have NetHunt CRM installed and enabled;

  • Paste in the API key (Settings<Apps and other integrations<API key).

6. Choose the folder:

7. Test the trigger if needed.

NetHunt as an Action

NetHunt CRM can also perform the role of an Action app, meaning that once you make changes in another app, NetHunt will react and follow the action you've set.

  1. Choose NetHunt in the selection of apps:

  2. Set up an Action for your Zap:

    3. Map the fields in NetHunt to the corresponding fields in your other app to ensure accurate data transfer and synchronization between systems:

Troubleshooting your Zaps

Once in a while, when creating your Zap, you may stumble upon this error:

"HTTP Status 500 – Internal Server Errorbody"

This often appears when we want to link a Related record in the "Create or update a record in NetHunt CRM" step. And we will discuss the most common case - creating a Contact with the Related link to a Company:

In Zapier, for your Related records to be mapped correctly, you need to write down the Record ID. But the majority of platforms you want to integrate with, will only give you the name of the Related record you need to add. With this set up below, you will surely receive an error:

Here is how to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Click on "Or add search step"

  2. This step will be automatically added

  3. Choose the Folder you want to search for a record in (in our case "Companies")

  4. In the Search Query, you can simply add the name of the Company and click Continue

  5. Here you will need to click "Test Step"

  6. Ideally, the Record in the Company folder will be found

  7. Now you can confidently go back to the "Create or update record in NetHunt CRM" step

  8. Go to "Action" and find the Companies field. Now you will have an option to add the fields from the "Find record" step. Choose "Record ID"

  9. Proceed with the test of this step and Publish your Zap:

  10. Congratulations! You have successfully created your Zap.
