Adding Custom tracking domain in Cloudflare

Updated over 2 years ago

In this guide, we will show you how to set up NetHunt's custom domain tracking if you're using Cloudflare. To get a general understanding of what it is and how tracking works, please check out this guide.

  1. Please go to Settings and pick Domains section:

With your next step, you need to go to the personal account of the service in which your domain is registered and find the "DNS Records" section in the settings. Here's how to do that for Cloudflare:

2. You need to add the CNAME value of the record, in order to do so click "add a new record" in the DNS record settings - select the "CNAME" type, give the record a name, and copy the CNAME value in the NetHunt CRM settings:

Name (required): "test" - in our case, we will use this one but you can come up with your own

Target (required): Copied CNAME Record from NetHunt:

Proxy status: Disabled

When setting up your CNAME record, set it to DNS proxy only by clicking on the little orange cloud at the end of your DNS line (the default is set to HTTP and DNS).

Here's our example:

3. Save all changes in the settings of the "DNS Records" section.

4. Go back to NetHunt settings and enter the name of the created subdomain:

Please hit connect, now you have successfully configured your custom domain tracking.
