Previously, macros were essential data placeholders extracted from your records seamlessly integrated into your NetHunt email campaigns and Workflow email content. Their primary purpose is to personalize the information in the email relevant to matching records. This could include details like the recipient's name, affiliated company, location, specific deal amounts, and any other individualized information connected to each contact.
Now we've added a great possibility to provide users with a link from a record. That means you don't need to display the full link in an email no more, but instead, you can wrap it in an anchor text.
How to use it
There are 2 key ways:
- Insert a full link. For instance, if you have a personal link for each email recipient (e.g. links to different sites).
- Insert a part of a link. That might come in handy if you're always linking to the same website and the only thing that changes is a site's page. This is practical when you want to personalize a link using a unique identifier for a recipient, like an ID or other account numbers.
Macros are only supported in Workflow emails, NOT email campaigns
When using macros, the anchor text will look like a macro instead of a usual underlined blue text. This is necessary to show that a macro is used inside, as well as for the purposes of error handling
That's it! Now you know everything about macros in the inserted links and how to use them in NetHunt.
