Record snippets display fields that show the corresponding values without the need to open the record itself. Thus, record snippets serve as a preview of an actual record, saving you time and efforts.

When you open your Gmail, you see emails automatically linked to the records of your clients showing snippets (labels) on them.

As you click on the snippet, it offers you to go to the record.

You may also see these snippets in the related records. Let's say you go to a client's record and scroll down to see the related deals linked to them. You can set snippets in the deals to show relevant information, such as Stage, Deal amount, etc. on records:

To set up snippets:

  1. go to the folder settings;
  2. choose fields you want to see as a snippet;
  3. activate the option "Show in record snippet"

!!! Do not overload your records with snippets as it will be super hard to read them. They will be crammed. Just add a few important things (e.g. Stage, Manager or Deal amount).
