Per user settings

In this guide you will learn more about what is considered to be per user settings

Updated over 2 years ago

When setting up your NetHunt workspace, most of the settings apply across the whole workspace and to all of the users, but there are some parts and modules that are being set up on the user level, rather than workspace level.

Let's take a look at those below:

  1. Everything that is included in the Preferences section is considered to be user settings:

  2. Related events on the timeline - related events are being set up on the individual level, meaning if you picked to show related events from the linked records, it will only be visible to you. If other users want to have it the same way, they have to change it on their end as well:

3. Timeline events - you can pick which timeline event you want to appear first in the dropdown here:

If I pick call log in this case, it will be the first option to appear on all of the records' timeline moving forward.

4. Saved views order - order of the views is also set up on the user level:

5. Interface resizing - includes column resizing, column reordering, left sidebar resizing.

Column reordering:

Column resizing:

Left sidebar resizing:

All user settings are saved in cookies. This includes both showing related events and various kinds of interface resizing. If you have these settings lost, perhaps, you have the auto-clearing cookies setting enabled when the browser is closed, you clear them yourself or via some tool like Ccleaner. Please note that cookies are different in the web version and for Gmail extension, meaning these settings there can be out of sync.
